Warehouse Manager/Driver

A large commercial roofing company that  provides quality products and services to customers across the greater Pittsburgh area. We specialize in low-slope, commercial roofing and possess the resources to accommodate projects in a range of sizes and specifications, with a focus toward larger industrial and institutional projects. Company is seeking a full-time Warehouse Manager to join our team! This role oversees and performs all aspects of warehousing including loading, unloading, trucking, organizing, inventory management, scheduling and maintaining material and equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Manage day-to day activities involved with inventory control for inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
  2. Load and unload materials as needed for shipping and receiving to and from jobsites.
  3. Maintain organization of all warehouse materials and equipment. Ensure materials are stored and tagged properly.
  4. Monitor, research and implement solutions regarding issues related to damaged products, mis-shipped products, and missing products.
  5. Transport material to and from jobsites.  Assist in uploading and downloading jobs.
  6. Assist in developing policies and procedures for warehouse operations.
  7. Inspect equipment as it cycles through the warehouse and perform maintenance or repairs as needed.
  8. Analyze equipment needs and suggest investments for capital improvements.
  9. Ensure warehouse facility, both inside and outside of the facility, are clean and orderly, including but not limited to regular routine maintenance.
  10. Coordinate directly with Company Superintendents to Manage labor needs to ensure operational needs are met in an efficient manner.
  11. Schedule and coordinate deliveries directly with distributors.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have mechanical skills and be able to perform simple repairs including maintenance on small engines.
  2. Be physically able to perform the manual work of the position including loading and unloading trucks. Must enjoy working with your hands and working outdoors, sometimes under challenging working conditions. 
  3. Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol test, and background screening, including Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances. 
  4. Applicants will be subject to random drug/alcohol testing and reasonable suspicion testing, either by the general contractor or by the company. 
  5. Ability to communicate and maintain good working relationships with peers, customers, and other contractors. 
  6. Quantified Experience Driving Equipment (stake body trucks, telehandler, etc.)
  7. OSHA 10 or 30 Preferred

Experience/Education Requirements

  1. H.S. diploma or equivalent required. 
  2. A valid license is required. 
  • CDL or Medical Card Preferred
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in warehouse operations

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to: 

  1. Perform medium work – lifting up to 60 pounds at a time with frequent lifting, bending, and crouching. 
  2. Work outside in all weather conditions and temperatures (hot, cold, windy, snowy, or rainy weather). 
  3. Ability to stand and/or walk 100% of the day.
  4. Ability to see, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  5. Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring physical activity including but not limited to kneeling, sitting, standing, walking, crouching, climbing, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, and pulling.
  6. Some Computer Experience
