Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Work on next generation Wireless Driver Architecture. Test Apple WiFi products against 802.11 ac/ax industry standard and protocol to be able to implement these protocols and bring them to Apple products. Test latest WiFi security including WPA2, WPA3 and enterprise network security. Contribute to Apple Automation Framework which is based on Python scripting. Objective is to automate using Python test plans and test scenarios. Automate Apple Specific Features and software for Quality Assurance testing and test Wireless functionality, performance, and interoperability against third party access points. Test and debug AirPlay, AirDrop, Sidecar, Universal Control and Peer to Peer WiFi features and technologies using industry proprietary protocol. Work with cross-functional teams and teams from other organizations to determine software feature requirements and confirm functionality. Perform performance testing between different Mac products and iPhone. Perform end-to-end AirDrop and AirPlay testing. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 - $248,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Learn more about Apple Benefits: Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. + 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: + Experience in WIFI Technologies such as IEEE, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ ax + Bluetooth protocol knowledge for all profiles, namely L2CAP, RFCOMM, A2DP, SCO, and ACL + Wireless and Bluetooth Coexistence protocol testing + Debugging and troubleshooting Wireless and Bluetooth coexistence performance issues + Wireless chipset firmware integration testing with embedded systems. + Strategizing and defining Wireless and Bluetooth test plans, identifying test gaps, and adding test cases to address test gaps + Failure diagnosis utilizing tools, such as Wireshark/Comprobe and working with Bluetooth Packet Analyzers and Sniffers including Teledyne sniffer and protocol analyzer + Test development to assess and enhance product quality metrics, including setting key performance indicators (KPls) + Assisting Automation Framework development by automating manual test cases using Python **Preferred Qualifications** + N/A Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
