Social Worker- Providence St. Mary Medical Center- Walla Walla

Schedule : Part Time/Days

Area Coverage: Walla Walla County, Part of Columbia County, and part of Umatilla County. Around 55 mile radius from office.

The Home Health Medical Social Worker provides social services for patients receiving home health services. Provides short-term counseling/community services networking to clients and their families in order to assist them in satisfactory adjustment and coping with specific problems impacting their medical recovery. Provides social work services in accordance with physician's orders, state, federal and professional standards and regulations. The Home Health Social Worker supports the other clinicians in seeing that the medically related emotional, social, environment and financial needs of the patient are met/maintained on an individual basis as possible.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work

  • Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker License Or

  • Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker Associate License Or

  • Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License Or

  • Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker Associate License

  • 1 year Working in a medical setting as a Social Worker

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
