Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team in Tamarac, FL. As a Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center by efficiently receiving, organizing, and managing incoming shipments of goods, supplies, and merchandise.
- Shift Schedule (Mon-Fri) 12:00 PM-8:30 PM.
- Training from 10:00 AM-6:30 PM for the first week.
Receive Shipments Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Be ready to receive and process incoming shipments promptly and accurately.
- Handle heavy lifting, including boxes weighing at least 50 pounds.
Organize Inventory - Maintain meticulous records of every item received.
- Organize and store received items in their designated locations within the warehouse.
Communicate With The Purchasing Team - Collaborate with management to address any issues or discrepancies in received shipments.
Utilize Technology - Operate RF scan guns to scan barcodes and manage inventory in our warehouse system.
Operate Heavy Machinery - Utilize equipment like Cherry Pickers, Pallet jacks, and carts to move items around the warehouse as needed.
Inventory Management Software - Be proficient in using inventory management software to track and manage inventory effectively.
Requirements - Previous experience in a receiving role is a MUST!
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology and WMS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of inventory management is beneficial.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Work independently and safely.
- Stamina to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and climb ladders throughout your shift.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Strong attention to accuracy and punctuality.
- Computer literacy.
- Proactive in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.
- Willingness to perform various warehouse duties, including pulling, packing, kneeling, climbing, unloading, and loading.
