Part Time - PROBATE ADMIN / CASE MANAGER / PARALEGAL

OVERVIEW:
St. Louis Estate Planning LLC is a successful and growing estate planning, probate and trust administration law firm. We are in need of an experienced probate case manager / paralegal. The right candidate does not need to be a paralegal but does need to have two years' experience handling Missouri probate matters. We can be flexible on work hours and eventually the team member can work part-time from home.

CANDIDATE SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Prior experience in probate matters (small estate probate and full estate), 2 years’ experience preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and organize

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with clients from intake to discharge 
  • Process, prepare, and file probate documents required for estate administration, including petitions, motions, inventories, accountings, notices, etc. 
  • Maintain case files 
  • Work closely with clients to make sure that the client carries out the duties involved in administering an estate
  • Maintain calendar of client appointments, hearings and deadlines
  • Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy
  • Organize and track case files
  • Other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND WORK HOURS:

  • Hours: We currently have about 20 hours of probate work per week. We are flexible on when you work. We are fine if your work hours fit around your family schedule so long as your tasks get completed and the clients are happy.
  • Future: Over time, if you are meeting your objectives and you would like to add hours, we may be able to provide additional hours and this position could even become full time.
  • Pay: We pay $35 / hr. This is equivalent to about $70,000 per year if the position was full time.
  • Benefits: Since it is part time, we do not offer paid time off, benefits or paid holidays. If you start working 30 hours or more per week, you will immediately be eligible to participate in all of our benefits.
