Job Description

**Job Title:** Podcast & Social SEO Strategist

**Location:** Remote (must overlap at least 4 hours/day with U.S. Mountain Time)

**Job Type:** Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time (flexible based on candidate and need)

**Reports to:** Head of Marketing

### **About the Role**

_Never in Reverse_ is more than a podcast — it’s a movement committed to depth, clarity, and spiritual growth. We’re looking for an experienced **Podcast & Social SEO Strategist** to help amplify our reach, elevate our discoverability, and align our messaging across platforms. You’ll drive growth by optimizing podcast and social content for visibility and engagement, **while collaborating closely with our Head of Marketing, Social Media Manager, Designers, and Video Team.**

This role is both **strategic and executional** — ideal for someone who’s just as comfortable analyzing keyword trends as they are brainstorming content hooks or working with creatives on a new clip.

**Note: This role requires at least 4 hours of daily working overlap with U.S. Mountain Time (MT).**

### **Key Responsibilities**

#### **Podcast SEO & Growth**

* Optimize episode titles, descriptions, tags, and show notes for visibility on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, etc.
* Leverage keyword research and audience data to improve discoverability and episode ranking.
* Conduct platform audits and apply SEO best practices for ongoing growth and optimization.

#### **Trend & Topic Research**

* Research relevant themes, cultural conversations, and spiritual trends to shape the editorial direction of _Never in Reverse_.
* Use tools like Google Trends, AnswerThePublic, Semrush, and social listening to pitch high-impact episode topics and guest ideas.
* Contribute to a collaborative, data-informed content calendar alongside the Head of Marketing and Social Media Manager.

#### **Social Media SEO & Strategy**

* Optimize content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube with tailored hashtags, keywords, captions, and thumbnails.
* Collaborate with the **Social Media Manager** to develop high-performing content strategies aligned with SEO insights and platform trends.
* Work with **Designers** and the **Video Team** to ensure assets (audiograms, reels, shorts, carousels) are optimized for both aesthetic impact and algorithm performance.

#### **Analytics, Reporting & Iteration**

* Track SEO and social media performance across platforms using Google Analytics, YouTube Studio, Semrush, Spotify for Podcasters, and native platform dashboards.
* Provide monthly reports and actionable recommendations to the **Head of Marketing**.
* A/B test headlines, content formats, and keyword strategies to consistently improve reach and engagement.

### **Collaboration & Team Dynamics**

You’ll work cross-functionally with:

* **Head of Marketing** – for strategy alignment, performance reporting, and campaign planning
* **Social Media Manager** – for content planning, execution, and scheduling
* **Designers & Video Team** – for visual and video content creation that aligns with platform best practices
* **Podcast Hosts & Producers** – for aligning topics and messaging with brand voice and mission

### **Requirements**

* 4–6+ years of experience in SEO, podcast marketing, and social media content strategy
* Proven success in growing podcast audiences and organic social reach
* Mastery of keyword research, trend tracking, and content performance analysis
* Experience using SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Trends, TubeBuddy) and content schedulers (Later, Notion, Buffer, etc.)
* Strong writing and storytelling skills tailored to digital and social platforms
* Ability to lead optimization strategies while collaborating with creative and marketing teams

### **Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience in mission-driven, spiritually focused, or personal development content
* Editorial or journalism background with research-heavy content planning
* Working knowledge of video editing and SEO around that
