Job Title: Medicaid Credentialing Specialist

Location: Houston, TX 77024

Industry: Healthcare – Provider Enrollment & Credentialing

Pay: $23–$25/hour

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to bring on two Medicaid Credentialing Specialists for a high-priority enrollment project. This is an 8-week contract assignment with the potential for extension based on project needs. The client is reconciling and updating a large provider roster and requires experienced professionals to support this time-sensitive initiative.

Job Description:

The selected specialists will focus on verifying Medicaid enrollments, updating provider records, and ensuring that all healthcare professionals are correctly aligned with internal organizational data. This role does not involve direct communication with providers , but will require regular coordination with the credentialing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and reconcile a roster of over 1,000 healthcare providers to confirm accurate Medicaid enrollment
  • Ensure each provider is properly affiliated with the correct tax ID, group, and payment (lockbox) address
  • Work within payer portals and internal spreadsheets to cross-check and update provider information
  • Maintain organized records in Excel and internal systems, including EPIC
  • Identify and correct enrollment discrepancies from COVID-era submissions
  • Collaborate with internal credentialing staff to resolve data gaps

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medicaid credentialing and/or provider enrollment
  • Familiarity with TMHP and PEMS systems is required
  • Experience from either a hospital or insurance background is acceptable
  • High attention to detail, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel and data reconciliation experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Assignment Type: 8-week contract with potential for extension
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (log in no earlier than 6:00 AM; log out by 5:00 PM)
  • Worksite: Onsite – Houston, TX 77024
  • Environment: Central Business Office (CBO)
  • Dress Code: Business Casual
