About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for shaping and elevating the public voice and vision of Abortion in America . As a senior leader, you will steward our tone, style, and storytelling across platforms – ensuring that every piece of content we create breaks through the noise and reflects the strength, diversity, and humanity of this movement. You’ll lead a creative team and work cross-functionally with organizing, digital, partnerships, and executive leadership to expand the reach and impact of our work.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a cohesive brand identity, creative vision, and tone of voice that authentically reflect the values of Abortion in America
Oversee and guide the creative process for story collection and production across multiple formats (video, audio, written), collaborating closely with our organizers, Digital Director, and local partners
Manage the Digital Director and Managing Editor to ensure content across social media and abortioninamerica.org is aligned with our creative goals and messaging framework.
Develop internal capacity and manage a network of trusted creatives – graphic designers, filmmakers, editors, web developers, writers, and more
Work with the Director of Partnerships to pursue bold collaborations with other organizations, cultural leaders, influencers, and platforms to expand reach
Ensure all creative reflects our DEI commitments – uplifting historically excluded voices, telling stories with care and consent, and centering community and authenticity
Serve as a public-facing ambassador for Abortion in America , representing the project in press, events, and partnership conversations

Compensation and Benefits:
This is an exempt position with a salary band of $160 - $185K.
Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 160 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.
