Transform Applications with Cloud DevOps!

Join a forward-thinking team and play a key role in helping the United States Geological Survey (USGS) modernize applications in the cloud. This position focuses on transforming legacy systems into scalable, containerized solutions while driving efficiency and reliability through modern DevOps practices.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will help design, build, and support a secure and automated AWS environment. You will develop and manage infrastructure as code, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and work with containerization technologies to ensure consistent and resilient deployments. Partnering with the Elevation team, you will contribute to a platform that can evolve with the mission’s growing needs while advancing cloud modernization efforts that have a meaningful impact.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in building applications with Python or JavaScript
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in AWS using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS/EKS to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
• Strong knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for provisioning and managing cloud resources
• Experience with GitHub or GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipeline development, ensuring streamlined application delivery
• Skilled in building, running, and orchestrating containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes to support availability and scalability
