Choreographer for Elementary School Theater Productions

Columbia Grammar is seeking an experienced Choreographer for our May 2025 production of The Music Man Kids (30 min production). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching dance and movement to elementary school kids (4th and 5th grade).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties will include choreographing and teaching choreography to “The Music Man” including for individuals, small groups and full-ensemble. You'll be working with 4th and 5th grade performers with a wide variety of experience (including none). A successful candidate will have excellent time and classroom management skills, a strong understanding of grammar school behavioral and learning styles, and an ability to teach movement for a range of abilities. Rehearsals will run 1-2 hours and will occur 1-2 times per week prior to tech & performance weeks.
We will also have some zoom production meetings leading up to rehearsals.
Auditions will be the week of December 9th and will need availability that week. (that’s included in the 25 hour commitment)
